Atlanta, GA. June 3, 2009 - CanAm Care, a U.S. leader in diabetes care products, announced today that it has expanded the national distribution of Clickfine, its innovative, patented line of click-on pen needles.
Clickfine pen needles are now available at national retail chains and drugstores, including Publix, the Kroger family of pharmacies, Discount Drug Mart and Food City. They're also sold at Wal-Mart Pharmacies under the ReliOn brand, and through the Good Neighbor Pharmacy network of over 2700 independent retail pharmacies. CanAm Care is the only marketer of click-on pen needles in the U.S.
"Clickfine brand pen needle's retail availability has been growing steadily since it was introduced almost a year ago," says Julie Arel, CanAm Care's Marketing Manager for Insulin Delivery. "Now that it's at major retailers, more and more people with diabetes have access to the one pen needle that's fast, easy and simple to attach with just a 'click,' instead of traditional twists and turns - and the cost is substantially less than the leading pen needle brand."
Clickfine pen needles are compatible with all major brands of insulin pens, including the popular Solostar®, Flexpen® and Kwikpen® and other injection pens including Byetta® Pen and SymlinPen®. They are available in three sizes to meet the individual needs of those with diabetes. Atlanta, GA. September 2008 - CanAm Care, a U.S. leader in diabetes care products, is launching Clickfine, its new branded line of patented click-on pen needles. The Clickfine introduction marks an expansion of CanAm Care's click-on pen needles line, from store brand products introduced in 2004 to today's Clickfine branded and co-branded pen needles. CanAm Care is the only marketer of click-on pen needles in the U.S.
Clickfine pen needles are available in three sizes to meet the varying needs of people with diabetes. They are compatible with all major brands of diabetes pens and other injection pens. Their compatibility has been certified by TUV SUD, an independent internationally recognized testing, inspection, and certification organization.

In independently conducted research trials, the majority of participating patients with diabetes and educators preferred click-on pen needles over traditional twist-on pen needles. Educators noted that the ease of click-on pen needles may be especially helpful for people with manual dexterity problems or visual impairment.
As part of the launch, several major retailers are introducing co-branded pen needles with Clickfine technology, including Publix, Kroger, K-Mart and TopCare. Pen needles with Clickfine's click-on technology are also available at Wal-Mart Pharmacies under their ReliOn store brand.
